SBF Marine Solutions was contracted by Rottnest Fast Ferries located in Hillary’s Boat Harbour Western Australian to find a solution to improve the trim of their 23m Catamaran Ferry Voyager IV. SBF Marine Solutions designed a set of bow extensions moulded to the existing hulls to solve the bow down trim condition the vessel was experiencing. Not only was the trim and sea-keeping improved but the Voyager IV also benefited from an increase in speed of 3 knots, increase in fuel efficiency up to 13% and smaller wake.
